How to Disable the Microsoft Focused Inbox

Updated by Emma Stone

The Microsoft Focused Inbox is a personalized setting that your admin does not control. Some users find it handy, while others prefer that their inbox stays as a single folder. We generally advise turning the focused inbox off if it is giving you any trouble. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Open your Microsoft Outlook application.
  2. Click on the "View" tab at the top of the screen.
  3. In the "Layout" group, you'll see a button labeled "Focused Inbox". Click on this button to bring up a dropdown menu.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Don't Sort Messages" to turn off Focused Inbox. This will cause all of your emails to appear in a single, unified list in your inbox.

We hope this helps! As always, if you have any questions or need any other assistance with your computer services, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help!
