Updated by Emma Stone

Pop-ups can be annoying and distracting, and they can also be a security risk if they contain malicious content. If you want to disable pop-ups in Google Chrome, here's what you can do:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. Click on the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the browser window, then select "Settings" from the menu.
  3. In the "Privacy and security" section, click on the "Site Settings" option.
  4. Scroll down to the "Permissions" section and click on the "Pop-ups and redirects" option.
  5. Toggle the switch next to "Blocked (recommended)" to turn on the pop-up blocker.

Alternatively, you can also block pop-ups on a per-site basis. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open a website that displays pop-ups.
  2. Click on the "Pop-up blocked" icon in the address bar.
  3. Click on the "Manage" option.
  4. In the "Pop-ups" section, toggle the switch next to "Blocked" to turn on the pop-up blocker for that particular website.

That's all there is to it! Disabling pop-ups in Google Chrome is a quick and easy way to improve your browsing experience and protect your computer from potentially malicious content.
